Jesus, as God's Son, is in union with God, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, and is known and worshiped as God, the Son.
Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of the world. God laid the punishment for our sins on Him so that we could be forgiven.
This forgiveness is offered as a free gift to all who believe and accept God's offer of forgiveness.
Believing means more than just mentally agreeing with truth about Jesus. Believing means acting on what you believe. "Acting on your beliefs" is described in the Bible as "repenting" which literally means "to turn and go in a new direction".
Following are the "steps of faith" to be taken for "repentance" and "believing" in Jesus.
1. Express your "belief" in Jesus, by praying to God in this manner:
"Lord, I believe that Jesus is Your Son and that He died on the cross to pay for my sins. I confess to You that, according to the teachings of Jesus, I have sinned and am in need of the forgiveness that You are offering me through His death on the cross. I ask You now to forgive me of every sin."
2. Act on your "belief" by praying this prayer of commitment, making Jesus the Lord of your life."
"Jesus, I confess You as my Lord, and Saviour. I declare my faith in You and commit my life to You. I choose now to repent from my sins and my old life and begin to follow after You."
* The Bible says that when you pray this prayer from your heart, you are forgiven of every sin and saved from the penalties of sin. According to God's Word, you have just been "Born-Again". God places the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, and you can begin to experience "New Life" as you learn to receive His guidance, wisdom, and the power you need to obtain healing or deliverance from every trial you ever have or ever will face.

The Bible says in the Book of John 3:16-17
"God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be SAVED."
The following steps of faith and prayer of commitment to Jesus Christ are based on the clear teaching of the Bible and represent obedience to God's Word that will bring forgiveness, healing, and God's saving grace into your life.
