1. Salvation is the beginning of our journey to “The Promised Land”

God's Purpose in the Holiday

We set our hearts on a “Pilgrimage”  with the goal of being led by God

through the wilderness (of life) and trained for “New Life in Christ”.
2. The first work of the Holy Spirit in a New Believer is to free us from sin.

God's Purpose in the Holiday

* We set Goals and Pursue victory over sin

by the power of the Spirit and Christ's presence in you.
3. Firstfruits begins 3rd day of Passover, and runs through Feast of Weeks
to Day of Pentecost.
It points to the Messiah's resurrection as the first fruits of the righteous.
Jesus was resurrected on this very day,
which is one of the reasons that Paul
refers to him in 1 Cor 15:20
as the "first fruits from the dead."
Feast of Weeks ends on Shavuot / Day of Pentecost
Which fall on the day God gave Moses the Word of God
and is the same day the Holy Spirit was poured out on the church
“Day of Pentecost” at its birth.
3. God's Word & Holy Spirit are gifts given to guarantee
our arrival to the Promised Land.
God's Purpose in the Holiday
* Set goals to become established in God's Word.
* Set goals to be filled with the Spirit & begin living
The Spirit-filled life.
Rosh Hashanah is the birthday of the universe, the day God created Adam and Eve. It is the head of the Jewish year, the time when God  reinvests Himself in creation as we crown Him king of the universe through prayer, shofar blasts, and celebration.
It is a day of prayer, a time to ask the God to grant us a year of peace, prosperity and blessing. But it is also a joyous day when we proclaim God King of the Universe.
God's Purpose in the Holiday

* We sincerely sought God for a clean heart and clean lives before Him.
* We have received forgiveness and no sin remains un-confessed.
* WE CAN TRULY BEGIN A NEW YEAR AND A NEW LIFE
BASED ON RECEIVING ALL THE MERCY CHRIST DIED TO PROVIDE.
God's Purpose in the Holiday
As the Last Festival:   It moves us into relationship with Father, Son,
and Spirit in the fullness of all the benefits brought to us by the previous celebrations.
