Psalm 94 The Refuge of the Righteous

Use This Verse / Chorus Pattern (summary of this Psalm)

for Prayer, Worship, and Meditation

TO RECEIVE THE BLESSINGS PROMISED HERE

Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law,

That You may give him rest from the days of adversity.

Unless the Lord had been my help, My soul would soon have settled in silence.

In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

The Lord has been my defense, and my God the rock of my refuge.

The battle between good and evil is ongoing.

God gives us the prayers to bring justice and deliverance

and keep us safe in His grace as we stand for righteousness.

On a personal level, the battle is in our own mind:

We follow our thoughts (which lead to futility)

or we are instructed by the Lord

(which brings His rest and protection).

Mercy and comfort for the soul are promised

to those who are taught by the Lord.

….And in the end, You are protected by God

and safe in the refuge of His strength.
