Psalm 116 Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death

GODS' PRAYER WHEN “THINGS ARE AT THEIR WORST”

Use This Verse / Chorus Pattern (summary of this Psalm)

for Prayer, Worship, and Meditation

TO RECEIVE THE BLESSINGS PROMISED HERE

I I love the Lord, because He heard my voice and my supplications.

He has inclined His ear to me, I will call upon Him as long as I live.

The pains of death surrounded me, Sheol laid hold of me;

Then I called upon the name of the Lord:

II Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful.

The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low,

I was brought low, and He saved me.

Return to your rest, O my soul, The Lord has dealt well with you.

III You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, my feet from falling

What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me?

I will take up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.

In the courts of the Lord’s house, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise the Lord!
